About Cenosco

Cenosco is a fast-growing software company helping industrial organisations worldwide improve safety, sustainability, and operational reliability. Headquartered in The Hague, with around 160 colleagues across the Netherlands, Croatia, and beyond, we combine the agility of a scale-up with a genuinely global footprint.

Our People team is a small, distributed group - an HR professional in Croatia, a recruiter in Poland, and a team lead in the Netherlands. We work closely together and bring a lot of variety to the work.

The Role

This is a hands-on generalist position with real breadth. You will own HR operations for our Dutch employees and a growing group of globally remote colleagues across roughly 15 countries - while also having a genuine seat at the table to improve how we do things.

We are not looking for someone to just keep things running. We are at a stage where the right person can shape processes, introduce better ways of working, and leave a visible mark on how HR functions at Cenosco. If you like variety, ownership, and building things - this will suit you.

This is a fixed-term role covering a maternity leave. We are in a period of real growth, and roles like this have a way of evolving. For someone who wants to do meaningful work, build something real, and be part of a company at an interesting moment - we won’t make promises we can’t keep, but we do invest in people who are good at what they do.

What you will do

HR advisory & employee support

  • Act as a trusted partner for managers and team leads on day-to-day people topics
  • Support employee relations cases, performance conversations, and team dynamics
  • Contribute to performance review cycles, salary reviews, and learning initiatives
  • Help identify gaps in how we work and propose improvements

HR operations & employee lifecycle
  • Manage HR administration across the full employee lifecycle - onboarding, offboarding, contract changes, documentation
  • Maintain the HRIS with accurate employee data and reporting
  • Prepare payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance and payroll providers
  • Manage time-off administration for Dutch and global EOR employees
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch employment law; coordinate with EOR partners for international colleagues
  • Support global hiring, contracting, and employment changes

Office & facilities (The Hague)
  • Keep the office running smoothly - coordinate vendors and handle practical day-to-day needs

What you bring
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist or operational HR role
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting global and remote employees, ideally with EOR providers such as Deel
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR, HiBob, Rippling, Personio or similar)
  • Comfortable owning operations while also thinking about how to improve them
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear, empathetic, and pragmatic communicator
  • High integrity, discretion, and sound judgement
  • Fluent in English

Why join us

Cenosco is at an interesting moment. We have a solid foundation and a lot of runway ahead. The People team is small enough that your work is visible, and large enough that you have real colleagues to lean on.
  • A role with genuine variety - operations, advisory, and process-building all in one
  • A collaborative People team across Croatia, Poland, and the Netherlands
  • Flexible working that fits the role and your life
  • Competitive compensation with additional perks
  • Modern office in The Hague and good equipment
  • A team that chooses its own social activities - not ones that exist to look good on Instagram
